Height safety systems, equipment and services in South Africa

Everest Safety Developments supplies, installs and services fall protection for people who work at height — anchors, lifelines, walkways, ladder systems, harnesses and rescue equipment, plus the planning and risk assessments behind them. Branches in Pretoria and Cape Town serve sites across South Africa and Africa.

How we work

From the first conversation to the next inspection

Every site is different, so every project starts with the work itself: the structure, the access and the task.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the site

Share the structure, how people reach it, the work at height and your timing.

  2. 02

    Assess and plan

Risk assessments and a fall protection plan set out how people will be protected.

  3. 03

    Supply and install

Equipment and fixed systems selected for the site, supplied and installed.

  4. 04

    Inspect, service, certify

Lifelines and anchors are kept in service through inspection, maintenance and certification.

Competent persons only. Equipment and systems must be selected, specified, installed and inspected for the actual site and work by competent, trained persons. This website is not a substitute for a site assessment.

Questions

Frequently asked

Short answers to what people ask us most. For anything specific to your site, get in touch.

Which areas does Everest Safety Developments serve?

Everest has branches in Pretoria and Cape Town and works with clients across South Africa and elsewhere in Africa. Tell us where the site is when you enquire and the nearest branch will respond.

Do you only supply equipment, or also install and service it?

Both. Everest supplies personal fall protection equipment and fixed systems, and offers installation, servicing, maintenance and certification of lifelines, as well as fall protection planning, risk assessments and compliance gap reports.

What should I include in a quote request?

Describe the type of structure and roof, how people reach it, the work being done at height, the site location and your timing. Photos help — mention that you have them and we will ask for them by email.

Do you provide working-at-heights training?

Training is offered through our partner Phine Academy, a South African occupational health and safety training provider. We can point you to the right course for the people who will use the equipment.
